When I walked into Salon U I was greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. The space is bright and filled with art, sculpture and comfortable furniture. The Aveda products sit neatly on shelves that float along the walls. When I met with the stylist, Scott, who cut my hair I was ushered to a personalized consultation that was informative and exciting. The salons I've visited in Europe and my hometown of New York City have not spent the time and offered the attention I received at Salon U. But most of all the results speak for themselves: a great looking cut.

The stylists at Salon U are phenominal. I've never been to a salon where more attention was given to detail. They actually listen to what you want and then guide you in the right direction. I always leave feeling great. Unlike many salons I've visited in the past, only to walk to my car and immediately brush out the style. However, don't go if you're in a hurry. This kind of attention takes time and you will spend a better part of your morning there. Their services are expensive, but well worth the sacrifice. This is a high energy group with lots of enthusiasm.

Go see Jason at Salon U. I have had my hair highlighted by many, many stylists over the years, and Jason is far and away the best. He's an amazing colorist. Highly recommend!

Mandy is wonderful! Mandy has been cutting my hair for over a year now. She is very detailed and always makes sure that I am happy with the style. She listens to what I say about my routine - how long do I want to spend fixing my hair - will I really put the time into my style to make it look good away from the salon - etc. She is great. She does wonderful color and I always get lots of compliments.

If you want to look your best - go to Salon U!! By Butters, I have been a client at Salon U for many years. I have seen many of the stylists thereand have been pleased with everyone but my favorite stylist is one of the most beautiful and talented people in Birmingham. I would give you his name but... Their prices are very reasonable. Everyone is friendly, and your experience can be like a spa retreat or a party - whichever you choose!! I highly recommend Salon U to anyone!!

This salon is amazing. I have gone there for five years now. The staff always knows my name. Even though they are excellent at what they do, I did not once feel that "stuffy-uppidy" thing that most salons give off. I fell in love with the staff not only because I knew I could go there and get an excellent hair cut, but that I would be able to relax and be myself. I have never had more people compliment me on my hair like they do when Melissa Christian at Salon U cuts it. I would highly reccomend her and Mark. They are both incredible.

Scott is a great hair stylist, he takes the necessary time to give me the hair cut that I look forward to going out into public without a hat on. On top of being a professional he is an interesting person and makes the chore entertaining. I trust his idea's and advice and look forward to any crazy, off the wall, suggestions, from color to cut.
